Measuring momentum

ProfitSpring · Technology

Brief

ProfitSpring helps businesses understand and improve performance through clear, data-driven insight. Their approach is straightforward. They say what needs to be said, cut through unnecessary complexity and focus on measurable outcomes. The challenge was to create an identity that felt confident without becoming arrogant, technical without becoming cold, and simple without losing energy.

Approach

We developed an identity built around the idea of measured movement. A balance between precision and momentum that reflects both the analytical nature of the work and the progress it creates. The visual language is intentionally restrained. Black and white form the foundation, avoiding unnecessary decoration and reinforcing the company’s direct tone of voice. Colour is used sparingly and with purpose, reserved for the semantics of data. Green to indicate positive performance, orange to highlight areas of concern. A clear, immediate way of understanding where a business stands. Typography plays an active role in the system. Kinetic treatments introduce movement and energy, while a series of annotation devices help to underline, highlight and direct attention. These elements work together to support clarity, reinforcing key messages rather than competing with them. The strapline Measured momentum captures this balance. A concise expression of what the business provides and how it operates. The result is an identity that feels capable and controlled, with a sense of energy that comes from direction rather than decoration.
