Brief

Nadiya is a UK-based charity supporting civilians displaced by the war in Ukraine by connecting hosts with individuals and families in need of a safe place to stay. The organisation works in a space that is both urgent and sensitive. Communications needed to be clear and accessible, while still reflecting the human reality behind each placement. The challenge was to create an identity that could balance warmth and empathy with clarity and trust.

Approach

We developed a visual and verbal identity that brings structure without removing humanity. The name Nadiya, meaning hope, became the foundation for the tone of voice and messaging. Language was kept simple and direct, avoiding overstatement while ensuring information remains easy to understand and act on. Visually, the system is designed to feel open and approachable. A restrained palette and clear typographic structure create consistency, while allowing space for real stories and lived experiences to come through. The identity supports rather than dominates, giving the organisation a recognisable presence without losing its human focus. We also created a set of guidelines and supporting assets to ensure the brand can be applied consistently across partners, campaigns and communications. The result is an identity that feels calm, clear and considered, helping Nadiya communicate its work with confidence while keeping people at the centre of the story.
